Andrea was born and raised in mid-coast Maine. A strong desire to explore new and different places led her to the west coast after high school, where she received her B.A. in Community Development and Photography/Filmmaking from The Evergreen State College. Eventually, though, New England called her back. She landed in Boston, where she received her M.S in Elementary Education and taught k- 5th graders in the surrounding area for 6 years. After living in cities for over a decade, Andrea moved back to Maine to enjoy its natural beauty and to be closer to family.
Growing up with a father as an architect and a mother as an interior designer, the process of curating a home has always been in Andrea’s blood. Ready for a career change, she explored the process of managing and supporting the building process from design to completion. She worked at a boutique design/build firm for 2 years before stepping in to help support her mother’s interior design and retail business. Now at Knickerbocker Group, Andrea brings creativity and an understanding of the design/build process as well as an ability to wear many hats!
When Andrea’s not working, you can find her exploring the natural spaces of New England with her daughter and partner Ben, painting, listening and dancing to live music or leading one day weekend workshops on mindfulness, creativity and self-expression.
