Randy Smith Bio

While living and working in Virginia, Randy, his brother and two dogs took a road trip up to Mid-coast Maine to visit their father. Upon arrival, he immediately fell in love with the coastline, mountains and people. After a month-long visit, he decided to extend his stay, permanently. He hasn’t regretted that decision a day since.

While making friends and networking in his new hometown of South Bristol, he was connected with Knickerbocker Group where he now works as an Architectural Designer. Randy is a graduate of the Architecture & Environmental Design program at Bowling Green State University. He enjoys all facets of design and construction, especially the collaborative and technical aspects. Randy has always been fascinated with architecture’s ability to shape the way we interact with our built environment, both physically and emotionally. In turn, he is always eager to learn and push himself to think outside the box. Randy’s previous experience includes estimating, design, project management and technical writing for multiple design-build firms.

When he’s away from the office, Randy can be found around a fire with friends, playing or coaching soccer and skiing in the winter.
