Knickerbocker Group is an employee owned, award-winning design-build firm offering comprehensive
architecture, design, and construction services for custom homes and commercial spaces throughout Maine. With offices in Boothbay and Portland, we are a group of inspired collaborators who contribute their diverse talents to the construction process. For the past three decades, we have been dedicated to bringing great care, detail and excitement to every aspect of our projects.


  • Manage ordering process for company
  • Work with company software to create and update vendors, clients, payments, invoices and purchase orders
  • Oversee procurement of product
    • Create & send purchase orders
    • Order product & answer questions from vendors
    • Ensure receipt of vendor confirmations; check accuracy
    • Set up and manage shipments
    • Track all orders on a weekly basis to ensure on-time delivery
  • Review and approve all sub-consultant and vendor invoices; verify costs against orders
  • Create and distribute procurement invoices to clients; maintain billing timelines
  • Track vendor and client payments; monitor credit card activity
  • Maintain job financials with emphasis on company profitability standards
  • Assist warehouse personnel with shipping and receiving as needed
  • Establish wholesale accounts

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred
  • 2 years plus working in a similar role preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and organizational skills required
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced environment; able to multi-task and change direction rapidly
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Power Point and Word (Experience with IvyMark and Auto CAD a plus, but not required)
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs; some local travel may be necessary
