Our Wiscasset modular facility recently welcomed Maine’s building science community for an evening dedicated to the future of modular homebuilding. We hosted high-performance offsite builders, designers, and collaborators who share a commitment to sustainable innovation, all coming together to explore our approach to construction.
A Tour of High-Performance Innovation
Attendees toured our manufacturing facility, viewing our Predesigned Homes in various stages of modular construction. Led by Julien Jalbert, Greg Norton, and Keith Warren, guests engaged in discussions about our sustainable, high-performance, low-carbon building approach. Julien shared insights into the prioritized materials and techniques, including Thermal Studs exterior walls for high performance, and TimberHP dense pack and wood fiber batts for superior envelope insulation.
The event wasn’t just a tour—it was an active exchange of ideas and practices. This gathering underscored the collective passion within Maine’s building community to push the boundaries of building science, sustainability, and modular innovation. Looking ahead, the future of modular construction is bright here in Maine and beyond.
