We were honored to host Antonia Munroe of Antonia Textiles for a June Tea at the Studio. The afternoon offered an inspiring look into Antonia’s world of hand-stenciled textiles, natural dyes, and slow design.
Surrounded by examples of her work, guests sipped tea while learning about the meticulous and meditative process behind each piece—from carving her own woodblocks and hand-cut stencils, to working with natural fibers and plant-based dyes cultivated in her own Maine garden. Antonia spoke about her reverence for traditional craft and the beauty of imperfection, sharing how her work is shaped by Japanese, Indian, and other global textile traditions.
With thoughtful conversation, a tactile exploration of her materials, and the warm ambiance of our Studio, the event was a celebration of intentional artistry and seasonal beauty. We’re grateful to Antonia for sharing her story and to all who joined us.
