Brent James bio

Brent joined Knickerbocker Group because he wanted to be a part of a team that is passionate and committed to integrating the art and craft of design and construction. Growing up in Maine, Brent moved to Boston to pursue a Bachelor of Architecture Degree at Wentworth Institute of Technology. Immediately after college Brent joined an award-winning Boston architecture firm and worked for almost a decade designing a variety of projects throughout Massachusetts including a 290,000 square foot mixed-use clinical center for Dana-Farber. Brent is a LEED accredited professional. He has worked on a number of LEED-certified building projects that have included integrating a high thermal performance envelope, rainwater harvesting for irrigation, the use of recycled and VOC-free materials, sunshades, and more.

In his free time, Brent enjoys exploring the Maine outdoors and spending time with his family. Brent also plays guitar and is always trying to learn difficult solos from his favorite guitarists. He has been skateboarding for almost 25 years and has produced designs for Maine public skate parks. In addition, Brent is a physical culture enthusiast with an interest in nutritional sciences.
