Nanette came to us after spending many years working in the design industry with a focus on public relations, marketing, product development and visual merchandising. Degrees in Graphic Art and Psychology provide her with additional insight into how aesthetics and design help to shape the atmosphere of an environment and the intricate relationship between how a space looks and how a space feels.
Nanette grew up moving every 5-7 years with her parents who made adventurous house choices – eventually settling in Maine and building a modern passive solar home. These experiences instilled in her an appreciation for all types of home styles and a love of interior design. It also fueled her when she had the opportunity to build a new home and most recently an ongoing renovation of an older home which started life as a chicken coop!
Nanette has been a runner for decades and runs along the beach in the morning just as the sun rises. She lives in Scarborough with her husband, Craig, son Wyatt and daughter Tegan. Besides watching her two teenagers play sports, the family favorite activities are skiing, surfing and enjoying the outdoors. In her old age, Nanette plans to travel in a Volkswagen Thing and write children’s books.
