ABOUT

Bob Francisco

Creative Design Director

Bob Francisco joined Knickerbocker Group after working as a consultant to the company on a large commercial project that spanned over two years. He graduated from the Art Institute of Atlanta with a degree in interior design and previously worked in the hospitality design field, specializing in club design. Several of his projects have won American Society of Interior Designers awards at both a state and national level.

At Knickerbocker Group, Bob’s passion and focus is interior architecture and design, with special emphasis on millwork design and functional space planning. He is in tune with a client’s goals, style, material preferences, and schedule, from conception through to a project’s completion. He enjoys working in such a spectacular area of the country, and his projects strongly reflect a sense of place. Bob also curates the offerings at Knickerbocker Group’s Studio in Boothbay, sourcing one-of-a-kind pieces—from antiques with a storied past to handcrafted works by Maine artisans.

Outside of his design work, Bob finds joy in gardening and exploring the Maine countryside in search of antiques. His home garden, filled with old-fashioned New England perennials, often provides flowers for arrangements at Studio events. He loves discovering pieces with history and soul, reimagining how they might find new relevance in modern interiors.

Bob resides in Edgecomb with his Corgi, Jenny.

His work has been featured in publications including ZEST and Maine Home + Design’s 2020 Interior Design issue.

KG CULTURE, MISSION + VALUES

With room for self-expression, Bob strongly feels our team is given the freedom and tools to accomplish our best work. KG’s people feel more like family members. We can joke and tease each other but at the end of the day, everyone is supportive, and we all work hard together.

LIFE IN MAINE

Spending a weekend on Vinalhaven, exploring the island by foot, visiting Marston House, and having dinner at Dot and Millie’s. Two other absolute favorites: Dinner at The Lost Kitchen and the candle-lit wine cellar! A walk in the Cathedral Forest on Monhegan Island; the smell of salt air and Balsam fir.
