Emma FitzGerald holds a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, with additional studies in marketing communications and illustration. A Maine native, she returned home to build her career and family, inspired by the landscapes, communities, and sense of place that continue to shape her work.
With over 15 years of experience in marketing, art direction, and brand leadership, Emma guides organizations through growth and transformation by aligning strategy, storytelling, and design. At Knickerbocker Group, she partners with leadership and multidisciplinary teams to strengthen brand positioning, elevate market presence, and translate complex design and construction expertise into meaningful communications.
Her work blends strategic thinking with creative direction—developing narratives, systems, and experiences that build connection with clients, communities, and industry partners. Grounded in empathy and collaboration, Emma believes the strongest brands are built by understanding people deeply and communicating with clarity, authenticity, and purpose.
Passionate about visual storytelling, typography, and the relationship between design and environment, Emma continues to find inspiration in Maine’s landscapes, communities, and the ongoing exploration of place and narrative.

Life in Maine
