Lupine wins prestigious AIA Design Award

We are thrilled to share Lupine, the inaugural build of our Predesigned Homes modular construction, has received a 2024 AIA Maine Design Award. Lupine was merited an Honor Award for Excellence in Architecture in the Small Projects Category. Additionally, it garnered the People’s Choice Award for Residential Design!

AIA Maine recognizes outstanding architectural projects and firms each year through its Design Awards Program. A jury of nationally recognized peers carefully reviews and critiques entries to select the most outstanding projects for recognition.

Juniper I, our 500 sq. ft. model in our modern style, features a harmonious blend of kitchen, living area, bedroom, and bath for comfortable living year-round. Vast triple-pane windows and doors invite nature in, complemented by natural materials fostering biophilic design principles. This all-electric dwelling features dense-pack cellulose insulation engineered white oak flooring, and locally crafted custom cabinetry, while clever built-in storage solutions maximize space efficiency. Lupine excels in the art of small living, thoughtfully designed to integrate with its surroundings.

Lupine is described by jurors as “having well-executed detailing and finishes with an impressive ambition of budget as it relates to sustainability and accessibility.” Additionally noted, “the transparency, paired with the achievement of energy efficiency, is commendable” and “the design within such a small footprint is smart.”
