A serene retreat
Celebrating outstanding interior design across New England, Knickerbocker Group was honored to be the recipient of a 2025 IIDA New England Design Award for our Honeymoon Cottage project. Winning in the Residential Private category, the Honeymoon Cottage was designed and built by Knickerbocker Group with furnishings selected by the homeowner.
Every detail—from custom millwork to floating design elements (fireplace, bath vanity, shelving, and lighting)—reinforces a sense of lightness and continuity with the surrounding landscape. Natural materials, handmade tile, and solid stone provide grounding, while a carefully balanced color palette amplifies the calming, nature-inspired ambiance.
