Common Threads

with Knickerbocker Group

A Celebration of Craft & Community

Representing the third generation of his family’s business, Brett Mougalian shared the history and craftsmanship behind Mougalian Rugs’ collection of handcrafted rugs from around the world, as well as the restoration and care services that preserve these heirloom pieces for generations. A longtime partner of The Studio, Mougalian Rugs regularly refreshes the showroom with rotating selections that inspire clients and designers alike.

Margaret Brown, founder of The Art of Antiquing, offered a glimpse into her process of sourcing exceptional antiques throughout England and Europe. Guided by a passion for history and craftsmanship, she curates pieces that bring authenticity, warmth, and a sense of story to contemporary homes.

Dennis Gleason of Gleason Fine Art spoke about the role artwork plays in creating deeply personal spaces. Drawing on more than four decades of experience, he shared his perspective on collecting, curating, and connecting clients with works that complement both their homes and their lives. Many of the paintings displayed throughout The Studio are on loan from Gleason Fine Art, offering visitors the opportunity to experience original artwork within thoughtfully designed interiors.
