Steve Doe Bio

Over the course of his prolific career, Steve has been an instrumental part of Maine’s most notable landscape designs including the Boothbay Harbor Country Club, Kennebunkport’s Hidden Pond Resort, the Claremont Hotel in Southwest Harbor, and countless commercial, hospitality and high-end residential projects. For Steve, fulfillment comes from listening to the needs of his clients and meeting their requests with careful guidance and exceptional design. At Knickerbocker Group, Steve works directly with our clients and fellow designers on site planning, master planning, and bringing beautiful, ecologically-minded landscape designs to life.

Steve has a BS in Landscape Architecture from the Ohio State University and is a Registered Landscape Architect in the state of Maine as well as a LEED-certified green designer. He resides in Kennebunkport with his wife Ann in a home he designed and finished. Together they lovingly raised three children. As a passion project, Steve also runs Whitten Hill Studio where he designs and builds Adirondack-style furniture and unique cutting boards—he can often be found in his woodshop honing his craft.
